Going to See Neil!

My husband got us tickets to go see Neil when he comes to Grand Forks in November. I am so excited that he has added some more stops to his tour.

I am curious -- have any of you been to a concert on this tour? I'm wondering if he is playing a lot of old stuff, a lot of new stuff, a medley (hope not, hope not)?

Anyone else currently holding tickets?

This is like a dream come true for me!!

Oh my word. Thank you for the link, too. I am now more excited than ever!
Quite welcome! The website I mentioned is "THE" home for Neil fans. Make sure to make a bit of time to check out the entire site. you'll need it!! :) Join in and say howdy - my user name there is the same as it is here.
I shall check it out when I get home from work. I don't stray too far from LJ much of the time, but for Neil, I will do it! :D
Well, I signed up for an account and was going to surprise you by commenting, but it won't let me stay signed in. I'll have to try again soon. :) I am excited to be a member.
OOO!! Too cool - can't wait til you get a chance to look over everything. You're gonna learn a lot. There are a bunch of wonderful folks over there!
This is so weird. Someone just linked me to an article over there this morning in my own journal. Someone who isn't even as big a Neil Diamond fan as me. Someone who didn't even know Neil Diamond was Jewish until she did some research. My word, could it be a coincidence? Anyway, I'll try again to log on. I did have fun looking at everything. GREAT site. :)
I went in July!!!! :DD

FanFREAKINGtastic! Mostly older stuff, hardly anything from the late 80's-90's (thank god), a few off of 12 Songs and Home Before Dark.

There was one song that he didn't do that I was just sure he would - shoot, can't remember which one it was now - but after the first encore, I smacked my husband and said, "He's doing two encores! He can't NOT play this song!" But alas, he did not.

Awesome, awesome show, though. This was Neil concert #5 for me, and I'll be going again if given the opportunity!
#5!!!! Wow, wow!

You know, I can't even think of what songs he did in the 80s-90s. I suppose there is a reason for this.

I know the husband will be happy if he does Solitary Man and some songs off the last two albums. And my favorites are the oldies. Thank you so much for the info about your experience.

Did you buy any merchandise at the show?
I did! My husband got it for me as a birthday gift. It was a blue t-shirt... and I LIVE in it! According to my friends, I'm about the uncoolest 30 year old you'll ever meet... LOL!
I think we may be twinsies. *I* am the uncoolest almost-30-year-old you'll ever meet too. Were the shirts super expensive? I want one so much. I'm thinking birthday present, too. As if the $120 apiece tickets weren't presents. And driving all the way up to Grand Forks isn't a present. :P

I would love to see a picture of the shirt if you happen to have one.

Oh, and it was $30... worth every penny!

Mind if I friend you? :)
That is an awesome shirt! Yes, will friend back if you don't mind utter silliness mixed with halfway insanity. ;)
